Fat Guy Foods
Egg whites, grilled chicken, Coke Zero, and light butter. I just realized I have the standard supply of "fat guy who's kidding himself" foods in my fridge.
And, you might say, "Well, hey! Egg whites are better than eggs-plus-yolks, grilled chicken is better than fried chicken, diet soda is better than regular soda, and light butter is better for you than regular butter."
Then, my old boss from 16 years ago would respond with, "Eh, now you're just rationalizing. You might as well eat cheeseburgers and candy bars." He jogged 7 miles a day, never smoked or drank, and ate nothing but health food ...and had a heart attack at the ripe old age of......... 52.

Gen X faces unique challenge in Gen Y
Been reading about the concept of “Now, you can work from ANYWHERE!!!!” for years. All I see when I read that, is, “Now, you can be ‘dedicated’ to us (the company) 24/7!” Or, how about that smartphone commercial from a few years ago? ”Now the car, the beach, the park - THE WHOLE WORLD - is your office.” Well, thank Christ for that. Because, I’ve always wanted to be walking on a beach on a beautiful sunny day, thinking, “Hey, I can do work here instead of just enjoying myself!”
